This hasn’t been my day

You know how someone tries to help you when they’re really just hurting you in a manner that just screams “Let me rip your heart into a million pieces?” Yeah well that just happened. My art isn’t the best I know that, not saying it is, but we someone brings up shading, my eye twitches. I broke down and cried because my art was being judged for not having “any shading.” I had a horrible art teacher my second year in high school. She was mean to me, hateful, and despised my artwork. My shading was “too flat” and I vowed to not touch shading again until someone who actually cared about my talents taught me.

If any artists out there want to help me, or at least point me in the direction of a tutorial please let me know. I’m tired of being judge about how I draw. Just please help me..
